Saints Haven ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. You may sign in using an email magic link, Google, or Apple. When signing in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name and email) from those providers.
User-Generated Content: We store the content you create within the app, including your prayer intentions, reflections, journal entries, favorite saints, candle offerings, chat history with the saint assistant, and community wall posts.
Usage & Device Data: We collect anonymous product analytics (such as screens viewed, quiz results, saint selections, and sign-in method) and crash/error diagnostics to improve the app. This data is associated with a pseudonymous identifier, not your name.
Subscription Data: If you purchase a premium subscription, purchase receipts and entitlement status are processed by RevenueCat and Apple/Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the app's features and your personal devotional data
- To send you feast day notifications and daily reflections (if enabled)
- To sync your data across devices via your account
- To manage premium subscriptions and unlock entitled features
- To diagnose crashes and improve the app based on aggregate usage patterns
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security with row-level access controls so that only you can access your personal data. All communications between the app and our servers are encrypted in transit using TLS (HTTPS).
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — Authentication, database, and storage
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — Account authentication
- Expo — Push notifications for feast days and reflections
- PostHog — Anonymous product analytics to understand feature usage
- Sentry — Crash and error reporting to improve stability
- RevenueCat — Subscription management and entitlement syncing
- UserJot — Feedback collection (optional, user-initiated)
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all of your personal data is permanently removed from our servers.
How to Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Saints Haven account and all associated data at any time from within the app:
- Open the Saints Haven app and sign in to your account.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account, profile, prayer intentions, reflections, journal entries, chat history, and all other personal data will be permanently removed from our servers.
If you are unable to access the app and need your account deleted, email us at support@saintshaven.app from the address associated with your account and we will process the deletion within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
Saints Haven is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through the app
- Delete your account and all associated data (see "How to Delete Your Account" above)
- Opt out of push notifications at any time from your device settings
- Request a copy of your data by contacting us
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app and on this page with an updated revision date.
